I was surfing the web and i found the weirdest rear brake mount I've ever seen. I bet most of you have seen it before and some might have even had bikes with it. But I've never seen it and thought I' post it.

The disc brake mounts on the chain stays allow mounting of rear racks and fenders. It is not unique to the Santana Tandem you pictured, Gunnar Cycles USA also has them (Gunnar Rock Tour (http://www.gunnarbikes.com/rocktour.php)).

That was common to some Trek and Gary Fisher disc brake models. Some of those 'other' mounting systems were the reason the 51mm IS was born.
