Possible, but not impossible:
At the end of year, hoping to have put more miles riding than driving my car.
That's a good one. It's pretty easy, especially if you don't have a car. I would know.
Start going down the long road towards my pilot's license

I don't have a particular goal as long as I can continue to just ride, tinker, pose, run, and continue to impress girls on my fixed gear, I'm all smiles...:D
I do need to replace my roof though.
If you can still impress GIRLS at your age :D, then George, YOU ARE MY HERO and I'm not worthy!!!

 Of course he can! Have you seen the man? Besides that, NO ONE poses like George does. I'm impressed every time I see it. :D

Stop trying to upgrate. That's your problem. A mere upgrade will suffice. :p
Have you seen the man?
Yes I have, that's why I know I'm not worthy!

Ralph, it's not only while on the bike, which I don't mind. I avoid going to shopping malls all together because it can get crazy. I noticed all this attention I was getting from young women several years ago when I started turning grey. You and I are about the same age. I know you've got a little bit of grey. Do young women chase you too? :D

My goal is to win more bike races. It will probably be pretty easy because I'm talking about the kind of race where I'm the only guy who knows it's a race. :p So next time you're riding up a hill with me, and I reach the top before you, just know that I beat you in another race. :D

Hehe. There is a guy on our team that likes to go for "super secret sprints". He figures he has a better chance of winning if nobody knows about it ahead of time. Note that he still doesn't always win...

2008 Goals:
1) Minimum 300 miles per month, with a total of 5000 miles. (not 4000 miles in 5 months and 1000 in the last 7 months like I did in '07)
2) CAM '08
3) KOM - if my schedule permits. The downside of KOM is you have to be at all 3, there aren't extras if there's a date conflict. But if I'm in town, I'm doing the rides.
4) Lose 15 lbs. before my class reunion in August
5) Avoid doubles like the plague.
6) Finish a triathlon
Cycling wise just to get out and ride, I haven't done much of that recently...
Life wise my goal is to be the best dad I can to my brand new baby girl.

At first I wanted to ride 100 miles a week. But I have never ridden a road bike and my new one will be in in a few days. So I will say I want to do 50 miles per week.

1. Cat III by the end of the '08 season. That might be a bit of a lofty goal, considering I'm still two races short of the IVs, and I don't want to do a bunch of crits. (Southern Nevada stage should take care of the first problem, assuming it doesn't get cancelled again.)
2. Solo 24 HR on the singlespeed. Gonna hafta figure out that whole cramping problem to pull that one off.
I wanted to try and do several the NUE series events (mtb endurance races), but they're mostly all on the other side of the country. Too much travel time & expense for me to pull off. :(

Let me get this straight.
You're going to fly to all the various overseas locations for work as you mentioned, train and complete KOM, and find time to train for running and swimming to complete a triathalon?
Yet, you wish to avoid double centuries like the plague. Why? Because they take up so much time?:p

My lowly goals are to do the Triple Crown and the KOM series. I'd like to do the Death Ride but that's out of my hands at this point. And maybe Everest Challenge as a spectator. Most importantly I need to make it out to some BF rides once in a while.

While I'm traveling, it'll be tough to ride so I figure I can start running on a semi-regular basis to keep in shape. I hate running, but I hate being fat even more.
Then all I have to do is a bit of swim training along the way, and my new place has a pretty good sized pool to start off with before I work up to longer swims on the weekends preceding the event.

Oh, dear Jesus, will you men quit fat bagging! Trust me, until you have hips, you do NOT know what it's like to be fat!
But now I get it and think you at least somewhat sane. I hate running too, so "somewhat" is the operative word here. :p

How about a 12-person team? ;)
Ok goals, now that I pretty much have my remodel done (just some finish work to do) I can get back on my bike. At least get the Thousand Mile Club and do the Grand Tour Triple. From there I’ll see. Oh, get more riders and raise more money for “The Lung Ride” (http://www.mrsnv.com/evt/home.jsp?id=1692). Of course the main reason to ride…..have FUN.
