2008 Goals:
1) Minimum 300 miles per month, with a total of 5000 miles. (not 4000 miles in 5 months and 1000 in the last 7 months like I did in '07)
2) CAM '08
3) KOM - if my schedule permits. The downside of KOM is you have to be at all 3, there aren't extras if there's a date conflict. But if I'm in town, I'm doing the rides.
4) Lose 15 lbs. before my class reunion in August
5) Avoid doubles like the plague.
6) Finish a triathlon
I think #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 are easy.
Triathlon will require alot of training. I am planning to do one at the beginning of 09

They were a lot easier last year when I wasn't out of town up to 3 weeks in a given month. They're less challenging from a cycling standpoint than purely from a time management standpoint.
I'm not actually that worried about the triathlon. That's the part of the training I can more easily do while I'm out of town.

you might also try to pick hotels w/indoor/heated pools ... even if they aren't big enough to do laps, they are good for isolation stuff... kick board, arms etc.
Go on more organized night rides.
