2008 NYDR

When: 1/06/08

Where: Ballentine DMV (Ballentine/Peak exit on I-26)

Well How Far: 60ish (62.75-69.325 miles)

What Time: Roll out 10 A.M

Why: Because the Sunday after New Years most folks will be back in town from their holiday getaways and the hangovers will be history. Besides it will give everyone time to install their new bike parts in time for the ride. Please remember that this is NOT A RACE so get that ego sh*t out of your system before you show up. Thanks!

What History: This will be something like 7th annual - Not sure I've lost count. This route will be a traditional loop around Lake Murray in a clockwise fashion. This will be a self supported ride. So plan for one stop. Stay tuned in here for more info to come. Feel free to respond.

Oh, this is just outside of Columbia, SC and will circumvent Lake Murray.

Is the ride rolling to flat? What pace would you expect for the ride? Thanks.

It's flattish to a bit rolling. It's not hilly by any means. I'd expect the pace to be 18ish or so. We didn't do the ride last year, due to the weather. Two years ago, there were some post ride complaints that it was too fast and too long. We did the full 80 miles in a tick under four hours, including two stops.

It's a fun ride with a lot of good scenery.

Thanks, I'll think about it. It will mostly depend on the weather I guess. The pace seems fine and even the 80 mile option is fine with me. I'll check back as the time gets closer.
