What brand and where do you guy's and gal's get your bicycle tire gauges from??? At the moment I am using a Wal-Mart truck tire gauge, like the one used on cars that reaches up to 140-150psi. Then I keep a presta to schrader valve adapter to make it work. It reads fine (I guess:confused: ). Have this feeling like I should purchase something that everyone else uses, do they make bike presta valve gauges???

Not exactly what you are looking for, but I use the gauge that is on my floor pump (Blackburn). No need for an additional, separate gauge.

Very happy with my topeak smart gauge. It has sv & pv.

I have a Topeak smart gauge as well. Honestly, I rarely use it. I typically use a CO2 pump, and it is easy to tell when the tire is full, the pump stops pumping air in. :)

I use the gauge on my floor pump. It's there looking right at ya every time you pump. No hassle.

I figure the extra guages are good a couple times.. then just compare it to what your pump gives you. And just adjust accordingly. The guages by themselves are a bit more accurate most likely, but you lose some air when you use them.

I have a total of 6 gauges in all.......three, in floor pumps...... two hand held gauges ....and a gauge off of an air compressor. They all give me different readings, plus or minus 15 lbs. Good enough for me!

Topeak smart gauge on the bike, Silca Pista pump in the garage for the every morning top off and a Park shop pump in the shop that is fairly new so I don't have an opinion it yet. The Silca Pista has been in shop service for over 6 years and is still strong.

Use the one on my air compresser.

I tried a stand-alone guage, but always lost more air than it was worth (and I was afraid I was I'd break the nipple). I bought a $20 electric pump (plugs into a car cirgarette lighter) at Wal-Mart w/ a built-in guage. Works GREAT! Pumps the tire up to 115 (from flat) in about 30 seconds...

If the adaptor you're using is similar to valve extenders used on trucks, buses and RVs the reading you're getting will be lower than the actual pressure. Better to use a gauge suited for the valve you have rather than using an adaptor. I rely on my pump's gauge, acurate or not.

I have yet to find a gague on a pump that was any good. They are almost always waaaay off.
