Foo - My First Snowboarding Video!!

This is my third time, and I don't think I'm doing too bad. However, Joe did cut out my bad fall, thank goodness. ;)

I'm really starting to have a lot of fun doing this!

Looks like you're having fun! I can tell you have good balance, but do you realize that you were digging in with your heels the entire time? Once you can switch between using the heel-side and toe-side of the board.. that's when the fun really starts :p

One thing that people do here sometimes is when it is raining really hard - find a slope and a piece of plastic and go ripping down it.

Yes, I do realize that. It's about the only way I'm feeling comfortable right now. :o There was a time when I was going on my toes, but then I ended up my legs twisted under me and a hurt knee! I'm sure it is something I will be able to work towards, though. :) I can't wait till I get there!

You should! It's really quite fun. I'm a very beginner level skiier as well, but I have to say I feel more graceful and fluid on a board.

One thing I need to clarify that Joe forgot to. ;) This is the first run on my THIRD day. There's no freakin' way I could do that on my first run. I spent most of that on my ass! :p

GOOOooooo Shadiyah!

It took me probably 5 or 6 hours of practice before I could turn toe-side. Oh, and I am right handed, and ride goofy.

The bunny hill is counter-productive in my opinion because it doesn't force you to link turns, which you should be doing within 3 or 4 hours.

Now that you can stand up, pay for a group lesson and get off that bunny hill!

That almost makes putting up with cold and snow look fun. You looked very stable and comfortable for a beginner. I water ski and wakeboard, never been on frozen water.
