Recumbent - What bike is this?

I saw this picture and think this bike looks awesome. I think I want one, but I can't figure out what it is from the picture, the name is obscured.

Hmm, did you notice in the picture that Renovator posted does not have the two chain guide wheels hanging underneath the frame, so that the chain crosses the fork half way down the tubes. I wonder how the rider makes left turns?

That Baron is a lowracer in racing trim (chain-routing and wheel disc) intended for the track where high-speed banking turns require more of body lean than wheel maneuvering. Not that you can't ride on roads in this confuguration, you'd just have to account for the limitation or re-route the chain over the front wheel with another idler to allow more turning should you feel the need.

The photo shows this Baron outfitted for commuting or recreational riding, so one can enjoy a non-racing ride. Just by dropping the accessories, though, you're ready for some phenomenal racing.

I always run the bike with the chain dropped. I've done over 9 organized century rides this year with no problems........even do u-turns in the street. Sure the chain brushes the tire a bit, but it doesn't affect anything at all. The chainline is so much more efficient by using the one idler on the bottom. If you notice, I also use a sprocket and not the stock polymer idler wheel.

Hey, I also know the guy who owns that blue baron. I also know where that carbon fiber disc came from. It came off another one of my friends bikes. Don Smith sold that carbon disc. Garrie Hill is the maker of the disc. here is a picture from the races last year when Don had the rear and front disc on his bike.

hmmm you know what? I'm wrong, that isn't Daves bike that renovator pictured. Dave doesn't have that particular chainring. Everything else though is identical. Very wierd. I don't think that Dave went to paris............

It an Optima Baron! very cool lowrider recumbent. I'd love to have one as well!

It's an Optima Baron. Dutch I think.
