With the final race ridden, I'm starting my transition period this week...4-6 weeks of mental/physical rest :) I was thinking of cutting down my mileage for this time, perhaps even just riding every other day. I am curious, though, what others in this forum do during their transition periods.

WEll I don't race, but I still kinda wind down a bit in the wintery months ahead of us... I'm going to start running a bit 3 days a week, probably ride the trainer a couple times a week, and then do my club rides on the weekend... I have been steadily improving all season long, and just finished my best club ride to date on Sunday with a 47 mile 18.9 mph average... needless to say, I was a bit sore monday morning, but feel great now.... I just take it easy, and keep my routine light, enough to stay in shape... come January I'll crank it back up again, and hopefully be in fast shape around March...
