I just took these pictures.There are 12 tomatoes on the biggest plant.I'll be picking some in 10 days.There is something to be said for living in New Orleans-we can ride year round,and grow tomatoes-outside-also.

Change that to the deep south in general and I'll agree - commuting and being able to take a nice lunch time ride in December as well does have it's up sides. Although I at least still have a down season -:mad:- I typically quit during July and August to go indoors and hug the A/C ducts.:)

Drew55, you're right.Pretty much all the Gulf coastal states don't have much winter within 200 miles of the water.Tampa is pretty much NOLA climate wise-hot,humid,hurricanes-but no winter to speak of.

here in Tampa Bay we still get a few 45 degree mornings to remind us of what winters's really about!...but next day it's mid 70's and we're riding sleevelss again...ahhhh
