:D

Over 10 years in the making. I was still in high school back when they started development...

Oh for bloody crying out loud.

I'll believe it when and if I see it. There have been teasers and promises before.

I think this game will finally release 20 years from now when we are all dead and gone.

There's no way the voice at the end is Duke Nukem. It sounds like a 30 year old accountant doing a Duke Nukem impression. It also looks like concept rendering, not a product of a real game engine. Still it's on the 3dRealms site and the date isn't April 1.

Saw the trailer and I am not impressed. This game has to be much better than Crysis for me to take interest now.

I haven't updated my desktop PC in half a decade. I'm too cheap to spend money on anything but my family and cycling gear but man I'd love to have a smokin' fast gaming rig.

I reserved this game 10 years ago.

The shop I reserved it at has since closed, been demolished and been replaced with a Cricket Mobile store. =/

Heck, I'm still running an AMD 64 3000+ with an X800XT Pro with 1 Gb of RAM. I need a new system.:(

What's your budget? :D

$0. My computer budget has transformed to my cycling budget.

Have you considered overclocking?

Or are you on a prebuilt computer (Dell, Gateway, IBM, etc...)?

I build my own systems and I purchased an Abit motherboard specifically for overclocking. As it turned out that motherboard is not good for overclocking. :(
I'm also overclocking the video card to the point where I'm already pushing it to the limit. My only option now is to build a whole new system and maybe just transfer the HD over.

Or I could try and save up for a PS3. Naaaah.

Hehe, Pentium 4 2.0ghz, 1GB RAM, GeForce 4 Ti 4200. I haven't even booted it since last playing Battlefield 1942 as I just use my Thinkpad for everything now (not gaming). Maybe I should sell a bike and get a new PC...... nah.

I could care less about the game, but I do plan on being here 20 years from now.

Duke Nukem - I remember Duke Nukem. Is it called Duke Nukem Forever because that is how long you have to wait for it? (I can't be the first to say that. )

I just view DNF as something, when it releases it releases.

However, I rather it remain vapor, than be like the last big vaporware first person shooter...

Anyone remember Daikatana? I remember the awesome teaser vids for it, in 1997.

If/when DNF does get releases, I just hope 3D Realms releases *something* playable, even if its a hair more advanced than the Redneck Rampage engine.

Well, judging from the history and the large sums of $$$ they've turned down to have the game done by a specified deadline says to me that they really are serious about making something good with DNF. 3D Realms has plenty of other projects to generate income and don't need DNF in the way other companies need to get their major games to the market (regardless of quality sometimes) in order to remain afloat. I'm more than content to wait for it to be done right since there's plenty of other fantastic games readily avaliable.

The trailer is supposed to have been rendered with the ingame engine too (heavily modified Unreal engine). :)

And i do remember Daikatana. I never played it after reading the poor reviews. That game got waaaaay over hyped. DNF has been quietly simmering for a long time now and 3D Realms "When it's done" stance (after the initial letdown) was the right decision to me. They haven't needed to hype a single thing since the rest of gaming community has been doing a good job of that on a regular basis.
