Okay, so after much consideration and talking to Mad Max and a few others, I've come to the decision that I am not going to SAG on 2/2. Nor will I ride (can't imagine I'll be 100% able to). So, unfortunately, I'm bailing on this ride altogether. :(

You gentlemen should do it without me as you are all capable. If you do not want to do that, I will get dates posted for you to vote on and we (as in all of you and me along with my big mouth :p) will ride it then. I'm thinking March.

Let us know soon if this thing is on so I can make/change my arrangements, please….Thank You.

Toronto, I'm not sure if this is still on or not. I'm the organizer and I'm out. The gentlemen who signed up have not said whether or not they plan to still ride this.

I'd be there in a heartbeat if I weren't injured. I don't think I'm going to be fully recovered enough by next Saturday to do the ride and I don't want to stress it. I backed out of SAGing it since this ride is really not a SAG ride (as I was reminded by several of the participants). We're keeping it mean and lean, and trust me, I WILL be riding this soon. :D

Seems like it would be challenging for you, time-wise. If you're in Santa Barbara already, you'd have to make it all the way down to Van Nuys for a 7am start. Not impossible, but wanted to point that out. (despite the title, it's really a Tour "TO" Santa Barbara, not "OF" Santa Barbara). :)

Well, I encourage you guys to ride it. Afterall, I'm not the force behind your pedals (God forbid :p). But I do want to be part of it and ride it - for which I will have plenty of opportunity this year (I'll plan this again). However, since this thread is for this specific ride on this specific date, I just don't want there to be any confusion about whether this exact ride is taking place. I would hate for two people to show up next Saturday and no one else is there. That's all.

While for some selecting a weekend is an easy task; for me it like a month in a dvance.

I never rote from SFV to SB and I am looking forward for such ride.
My alternative: RJ (SFVBC friend) birthday century got pushed from 1/26 to 2/2 so if no one shows for the 7AM Van-nuys, I can ride to cSun for the 8AM start of that ride. But I think/hope that four or more will show up.

No I am in LA, but I am stying in Santa Barbara on Sat night. I was going to drive down with my sister. SO this would fit in perfect with my plans.

Hope the ride is still on as it would be a great ride and excellent part of my "training camp" I am doing for the season.

I might Bill, I just calculated that a ride I was going to do would mean I have to leave at 6:00 to get to the start on time. I don't know what is happening, it just seems too cold to ride then so there is a chance I will meet you on the road. I would only go to the top of Casitas and then return home though.
