I am looking at a 2007 specialized tarmac pro frame that is on sale for end of year anyone have any experiences to share with a larger guy. I rode a built one and didnt feel much flex but you know how test rides are lots of time the stuff you feel is way down the road.
Also I am looking for some stiff cranks if anyone has recommendations

I don't know how much help I'm going to be but most of the larger riders I know that own tarmacs and roubaixs really like them. They seem sensibly built.
As far as Clyde cranks go, gotta endorse Ultegra. Seems like an ultegra-equipped tarmac would make a fantastic clyde ride provided you could get a decent wheelset.

Thanks for the info. I have a set of wheels already that I love and would highly reccomend to anyone mavic kyserium equipes. These are very strong and well made hardly give me any flex. Ultegra cranks are nice I was thinking of going force maybe but the cranks were a big concern for me. I may just stick with shimano though.
My LBS has a nice deal on a centaur setup for $600 but dont know too much about those cranks either. Buying the frame from them and the group though I am sure they will give me a further discount as well they really are great guys.
