Congrats to you and your daughter on a great race and time. I saw your post in the racing forum and you got a nice response from the forum members. Earning a championship jersey is a great accomplishment. I would wear them.

What do the two of you have planned for next season?

Congratulations.

But isn't your daughter a wee bit young to be advertising Sutter Home products?!!

More of the same for us next year, including a 40k. I'll be doing a full schedule of crits and road races. Plus we're going on our week long, 50 miles a day camping tour. 4th year for that. Also, this winter, we're doing three 10k indoor TT's.

We're keeping the tandem in the shop right now and on Saturdays we go in and ride on the trainer with all our team mates. We all do some structured workouts and then some of the guys do some roller races. They have a setup with 4 rollers and a 500m dial that has 4 needles.

A jersey earned is 10 times better than a jersey bought. Congrats.

Who says all kids do is play video games?
Make room in the display case for more medals, dad!
Round on the ends and HI in the middle spells OHIO!

That is one fine jersey and congratulations to the awesome stoker. The reward is always so much sweeter when you have to work hard for it. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w76/cgallagh/clapping.gifhttp://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w76/cgallagh/yourock.gif

So where does one read the details of this accomplishment? Hermes mentioned the Road Forum but a search of your name yielded nothing but your broken collarbone incident (hope you're healed, btw, and sorry for the accident).

No matter, she earned the jersey and the medals and I hope she savors the rewards.

Thanks, H.

What a great story! I'd definitely see if the newspaper(s) have interest -- had our own 15 min. of fame in our local paper a couple weeks ago, featuring the tandem. Fun stuff.
