I'm thinking of doing one of the tours in northern WI (http://www.bikewisconsin.com/) this coming summer. Its a week long tour and I should probably get started training. I was wondering if there were any cyclists in the area who might want to train together?

You might try posting in the regional discussions (great lakes).

I did SAGBRAW in 2004 and enjoyed it.

I have done the bikewisconsin (Northwoods) the last three years and we are doing it again this coming year, I usually start training around the end of March and by July we normally have between 600-800 miles in which I find plenty of training before the ride. This year it will be more since we are also doing the GITAP (www.bikelib.org/gitap/2008/index.htm) in June. Northwoods ride is always a nice ride, beautiful scenery.

I've only done Wisconsin unsupported. I have, however, talked to people on other supported rides who haven't had the best things to say about the organization of GRABAAWR.

The three major bike tours in Wisconsin the Grabaawr,Sagbraw, and Bike Northwoods have now been taken over by Two Bicycles and a Map, they have always done the Northwoods and last year was the first for Grabaawr and Sagbraw. They have always done a fantistic job with Northwoods and you can only expect Grabaawr and Sagbraw to get better every year. Two Bicycles and a Map (www.bikewisconsin.com/)

Try contacting "Soylent" in the bicycling.com "love forum". Not sure if he tours, but he does live in Madison.

Hey Lubers;
I forgot you're also doing the Northwoods this year. Maybe I'll get back to it next year. See you at GITAP!!!
