Has anyone ever competed in this event? If so what are your experiences.

It's a fast, flat event, you should expect a personal record unless the wind or a storm comes in.

No, I haven't done the Sebring, but I have done the Mid-West 24H twice and the good riders there all look forward to the Sebring (a) because of its flatness and (b) because the see it as easier to qualify on the flat for RAAM than it is on the hills like those in Iowa and Illinois.

How many riders typically enter the event?

I spoke to one of the organizers. He said last year approx 180 riders showed up but, ironically, none from Florida. Apparently the temp at the start was 28 degrees, way too cold for our thin blood. But it warmed up to 70 and their SAG vehicle picked up everyones excess clothing at the rest stop and brought it back to the finish area. I'm considering entering so I'm hoping it will be warmer this year.
