Pacific Northwest - Happy Holidays

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Thanks 2wheeled! A great photo for your card there :) . I wish I could get all three of my cats in the same photo, but 'that'll be the day'...
Let's all be careful out there, and enjoy our holidays!

With all the stress lately I really needed this! Happy holidays to everyone, I hope next year is a excellent biking year. I'm going to be sad when I leave the northwest on the 17th of January for Austin. I'll miss riding all the back roads with the huge evergreens. I won't miss the cold weather though.

Dave, did you get a transfer or starting a new job? Sorry to hear you leaving.

Happy Holidays to all of you! I hope you all get what you want and that we have long and memorable rides next year! Good luck in Austin, Dave. Are you sure you're ready to trade in the rain and wind for all that boring sunshine and warmth?

I decided to take a new job in Austin in October. I'll PM ravenmore, I can't wait to ride in the sun again. It was so much fun riding here, I really will miss everything and everyone. I still can't beleive I rode STP in one day... I always thought those people were crazy.
Austin guy has a nice ring to it :-)
I did sign up to ride from Houston to Austin in April so that should be fun. I hope you guys will still let me hang around in this forum.

Woodinville guy,
My very first bike tour was in the Texas Hill Country, west of Austin. It's a beautiful place to ride -- nice scenery, lots of paved backroads, etc. It's roughly the area around Fredericksburg, Johnson City, Kerrville, Blanco, Boerne, etc. -- west of Austin, north of San Antonio. You can ride hundreds of miles and never take the same little road twice. Have fun!

It's like being a Clyde/Athena--once you've been a member, you're still welcome to come back and join in, even if you no longer fit the parameters. We love you no matter what ;) .

One thing about it you will definitely see a lot more sun and heat. Better have a big tube of sunblock I'd say about SPF 8,000 :)
