Mountain Biking - Looking for suspension fork with 1" steerer

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
A friend of mine is turning his old Richey hardtail into a single-speed. The Judy fork on the bike is toast. He's stuck with the old 1" steerer tube. He's looking for a suspension fork that will fit in his 1" threadless headset.
I've looked on eBay with no luck. Does anyone know of a source for such an animal???
ThanX!!!! :D

I think the only manufacturer still producing 1", and they may not be any longer, was Marzocchi. Check their website of send them an e-mail. You will probably bay full retail, but if the frames still in good shape, it'll be worth it as Ritchey are sweet hardtails.

Marz still offers the MX Comp with a 1 inch steerer.
