I just got my new bike, Fuji Aloha.
I believe I am fitted decently, but boy it takes gettging used to. A few comments /questions in hopes of advice.
I had aeron bars - profile carbon strikes on road bike, so thought transition would be easier but having some issues, and wanted to know if they are normal of if I need to adjust fit.
1) Lower back - not too bad but defintely can not stay aero for more than 10 minutes with out a break.
2)Neck - this is main issue as I strain to look up -down the road from Aero postion - my neck hurts. I would look more downward but want to see cars pulling out etc.
3) Hip flexors - seem to be getting more work and got tired.
3B) Power just did not feel there compared to road bike.
4) Some slight pain behing one knee - mighth be nothing.
5) Felt I could not breather as well - might widen bars a bit as my shoulders are broad - 44 inch chest.
Note: I was also very cold and tired from yesterday's ride on my road bike, and gettign over a sinus cold, so felt a little crampy anyway.
My plan is to do some 30min-hour trainer rides to get time in the position, but wanted any advice on what is normal and what needs potentially adjusting.
Last question - how long does it take to settle intp position and get to full power - 1-2mts?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
