Southern California - I need a good route back down to San Diego, any suggestions?

So i’m taking the Coaster from San Diego up to around Encinitas, or possibly Oceanside area. I need a good route back down though. I’ve never done it so any help from those of you who have would be appreciated.

What Extort said. It's a pretty easy ride. Basically down PCH until after Torrey Pines. Then again, he typically has chicks waving their panties at him and asking him to stop at their apartments for a couple of hours. After that, they are happy to drive him to anywhere he wants to go.

Perfect! Thanks amigos, exactly what I needed and more than I expected. I remember the chatter about that ride last year. No my only problem is that I don’t know north county very well so I just need to figureout where about Encinitas is on the second page of that route.

right in the middle of the section for the lunch stop. you are on PCH for a long ways from Oceanside to Torrey Pines... which is really only a 10-15 minute hill even if you are slow... That is 10-15 minutes that will make you stronger the next time you ride!

If you go to Oceanside, go south out of the Transportation Center and make your first ride toward the beach, then make a left on Pacific and follow the directions starting from the fourth line on Page 2.

I recommend this. The ride from O-side to Solana Beach is pretty nice.

Also...the right onto the Bike Path after the left on Friars Rd is easy to miss. It comes up pretty quick so keep your eyes open.

@ Extort! Thanks! That lunch stop is kinda where I thought Encinitas would be based on the mileage from San Diego. I’m on it, thanks again!
