And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:10-14 AV)

I've always thought Luke summed up the Christmas story the best of anyone....

So Merry Christmas to all, and see you on the 26th.

"The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. Amen. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Amen."

33 miles into my ride and I got pushed by a schmuck on her cell phone into a nasty area of the road wth lots of debris and I hit a small piece of metal that shredded my tire. My brand new Michelin Krylion with less than 150 miles on it. It's a total loss.

I know it been mentioned, but I always carry two dollar bills in my seat bag to line the inside of the tire with in just such a situation. It worked aloud me to get home and get 38 miles.

Oh no! At least you did not get hurt. We can't afford to have any more people on the DL list here.

Tomorrow will be a better day...

I think I may go riding this evening to look at lights with 3 of my kids (ages 13, 15, and 17)

Yea, I was thinking the same once I got home. No one hurt and bike is ok. $25 for a new tire is better than being hurt.
