Hi
I have been using the Kenda klondike “wide” tires this winter (252 studs). They work well, but since this is my first set of winter tires I really do not know how good they are compared to others. I use the bike mainly to keep fit (I ride the trails on the weekends and ride to work on weekdays).

Everyone seems to like the Nokian extreme 294 in the snow and ice, so I am wondering if I made the wrong choice.
Since I also commute on my bike I need some tires that have good manners on the road when the roads are clear (or almost clear) of ice and snow (maybe ½ the time?)
The Nokian tires look more “aggressive” than the Klondike, with bigger knobs and more studs. Do they (the 294’s) have more rolling resistance when the roads are clear/almost clear? How do they perform when the roads are clear?
Has someone had experience with both?
