We don't exchange gifts in our family. Only for the little ones. We get together at my parents' house to make tamales. Gina spent a couple of days baking so that she could give cookie platters to family and friends. About 20 platters in all. We gather at the parents' to watch the little one's open the gifts. A tree full of presents but only for the 4 little ones!:D

She didn't make the kids, only the cookies!:p..............All that baking and a day in traffic school prolly just cost her the 3,000 mile goal I set for her this year. I'm so pissed!:D

well, i didn't get the colt M4 (http://www.colt.com/mil/downloads/m4_01.jpg)i asked for. nor did i get the red mazdaspeed3 (http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/06/mazdaspeed307.jpg). in retrospect, i guess i didn't really need either of those, but hey. worth a try.
but i did get my USCF license renewed, club membership, and team kit(so i can look like a power ranger when i race), and other clothing that i probably won't wear...

Well we did pick names among the adults. Gina happened to pick my name. She got me a couple pair of pants and a Rocky action figure. I don't collect them but she said she saw it and had to get it cause it looked like me.......Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing cause it's a 'post fight' figure from Rocky 4 when he fights the Russian dude.................. So I guess I look like a beat up Rocky!:D

that guy wasnt Russian in Rocky you ;degenerate.
look it up on wikipedia.
if he was a true russian, he would not disgrace himself vs a loss of a shorter, more inferior human like Rocky Balboa

you're right, he would have just poisoned him with polonium-210 by direct order of his government. oh, wait..maybe that's what they put on his gloves in the middle of the fight. HMMMM...

Ride over to Camp Pendleton and tell them you want to sign up for the free M4 and brown Hummer. Sometimes it comes with a free airline ticket to Afghanistan too.

I got nada. Went for a ride this morning (the San Elijo Hills hill in reverse) and haven't seen Janet since 6:00 a.m.

if you had half a brain you would know that Alexander Litvinenko was not killed by Russia. Go read up on polonium-210 and see how easy it is to produce and who produces it. Then logically(if possible) try to explain why RUSSIA would kill him with this.
I dont expect you to comprehend this though

Same "no gifts" for the adults in our family, too. Or gifts of food, donations, etc. Much less stress!

The hill was more fun Saturday when we descended it. On the other hand, the other side was more fun today.
She never carries a cell phone. It's sitting here plugged into the charger, just like it has been for the past week. I don't know where she picked up that habit.

I get to hang out at my parents' house with my family (bro, sis, sis-in-law, dad, mom), eat yummy food, drink yummy drinks, and even got a short ride in. A little over an hour on the road with my brother. We did a quick loop over Oak Glen, from my parents' house in Yucaipa.
Got some cool gifts too (A book, some cash, a new porch light for my place, REI gift cert.), but the company is far better than the "stuff".

For Christmas, I got a near-perfect day.
Started off with an easy 50-something ride on a picture-perfect morning up the coast. No sand under my wheels, no wind that the newscasts had predicted and super company. Met up with some buds from the Beverly Hills Social Climbers (great group - Hi JJ!) but had to leave them to catch up to the LaGrange holiday ride. Always fun, except for one of the gals going down when she caught an edge. Hopefully, nothing too serious. Came back to join the folks for an afternoon of food and fun. Then more food. And still more food. ***urp*** Oh, and I got myself some Sidis, too.
Time to pass out in a caloric coma... Merry Christmas everyone! :)

I got no bike stuff. None.
Who knew that Old Navy had Cashmere sweaters? Well, I got one of those. I also got a super-wide spatula for fish. And a mandolin-slicer for slicing onions super thin....I got new Asics Gel-Trabuco 9 trail running shoes. I got a photo printer, so hopefully my pictures won't be forever banished to some folder on my C drive. The family got a Wii. I got two shiny sateen dress shirts which I hope to exchange for non-shiny and non-pimpdaddy dress shirts. Umm...More clothes...
Oh, and two tickets to a Sam the Cooking Guy clinic. That should be fun.
