...if I knew that you were a member (http://www.bikeforums.net/member.php?u=75081) here, I'd have baked you some cookies!

Happy Birthday...

I almost killed Santa today. At a small neighborhood get-together, the young children were showing me their toys. One of them mentioned that they also got a pair of kittens. Now I knew they did because I saw them in the car yesterday after the mother told me about them. So when the kids told me they got kittens, I said "I know because I saw them in the car yesterday..." [insert sound of music coming to an abrupt halt as a needle slides across a record]. The oldest girl then begins dissecting what I said with, "But how could you have seen them yesterday when Santa brought them last night?" The dad saved the day with, "Oh, he meant today when we brought them out to the car to see if they would be able to ride in it." I quickly changed my story to coincide with his. Wow, I completely forgot about Old Saint Nick's involvement. Sorry Santa. I realize you have enough trouble convincing people you exist without my inadvertent piling on.

I am sorely tempted to send Santa Clause a PM to see if he ever answers. But I think he's probably still pretty busy :D .

What kind of cookies?

He must be a very busy guy. He has yet to find time to post...Santa Lurker.

I wonder if he reads everything and decides if we've been bad or good?? :p

I'd bake my favorite...Tollhouse chocolate chip.

I understand that Santa enjoyed his work last night more than ever courtesy of his new carbon fiber sled.

Santa is always watching and knows who are the good little boys and girls.

Thank you very much for the birthday wishes. It was very busy the last few months and I ended up negotiating with the Elves Union to extend their contract through 2509 for only a modest annual increase of cookies and milk. That made the holidays even more joyous.

Mrs. Clause said not to bake me any more cookies this year because I was able to bring back more this year than ever before. That new carbon fiber sleigh really decreased the weight that the reindeer are pulling! The sleigh also decreased my overall delivery time!

2006:
92,097 miles
18:36:52 total time

2007
93,532 miles
18:12:14 total time

The overall elevation gain is huge for this trip (easily three vertical centuries), but I did not give one of the new color Garmin's to myself yet, so I do not have those statistics. I'll do better next year.

Technically it would be Jesus's birthday. Santa isn't real, sorry.

Well, we could quibble over that (the religious folks do :) ), but according to the 'Today's Birthdays', it was Santa Clause's birthday on the 25th ;) .

And that's what we were celebrating...:p .

Where the hell is my WSD Trek Madone. I realize I was naughty, am always naughty and probably don't deserve it. But I was hoping you'd be forgiving this year.

I'll make you some cookies if you'd like to stop by later now that the whole Christmas business is over. :D

P.S. You can bring Mrs. Clause, of course, as I am NOT being naughty now. :o

If you squeeze hard, you can make those lumps of coal turn into carbon fibre ;) .

Hmmm, you could interpret that in more than one way  :D .
