Anyone do any cycling in the Persian Gulf area? Occassionally have to go over and was curious what kind of rides might be organized there in say Dubai up to Kuwait?

I have ridden in Dubai. It's hot, and you see very few cyclists.
I rode on a Friday which was quite as it was a weekend. I had my roadbike and rode with colleagues as part of a big group ride organised by Dubai Roadsters (www.dubairoadsters.com) great bunch.
Enjoy!
Don't know Kuwait
I've only riden over there a few times, mostly on mil bases though. Only off base riding I did was in Bahrain, one ride out to see the tree of life and back to the base. This was in the dead of winter last year for a rough 85 and close to 0 humidity which really surprised me. Great place to ride, although the local car drivers are none to fond of sharing the road.
I do know next time I go, the bike's going with me again. Hopefully I could hook up with the Dubai folks there - I'm sure its a great crowd.
