Fifty Plus (50+) - Did Everyone But Me Know About Black Googlle?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It's said a black background takes less power.
:)
Thanks for sharing. I didn't know about it either. Not sure my old eyes like it!

I tried blue but it requires some extra steps. Black is neat though!
While we're at it, I just discovered Pandora -- free "intelligent" internet radio that "builds a station" around your favorite artist or genre. Wow!

It does use less power. But reading black on white text is much easier on my eyes.
I used a number of green and amber monitors back in the 1980s, grew to like some of the amber ones (depending upon the color of the amber).
And have used white text on blue backgrounds on a number of forums, but not so much recently.

This doesn't make sense.
Once you do a search it reverts back to white.
How often to you sit and stare at the google page? What possible power savings could come out of that?
I think it's a joke of some kind.

Beats the hell out of blue text on white background (as if anyone would actually do that). ;)

Yeah, I think someone couldn't wait until April 1st. Or maybe it's leftover from last April.

Reminds me of DOS WordPerfect, which I always ran blue with white lettering. Well, this is as close as I can get!

With the conventional black-on-white graphics, if you make a mistake you can use a little white-out and fix the problem in a jiffy. With the white-on-black, I would think small strips of duct tape would be adequate.
