At that price I would be very careful. If at all possible, when you meet the owner, ask if you can take the bike to a LBS to have a quick check out.

So you guys think it's either stolen of has a frame crack? It seemed cheap. I spoke to the guy for a little bit on the phone. He seemed ok. I'll go see it tomorrow.

That bike doesn't look like a 06.

Can you tell how old a bike is by looking at the serial number? Like a cars vin#
Well it has x.9 and a Mozo fork, with Tektro discs and LX Cranks?
Seems a bit mismatched to me.

This one didn't come with a kick stand.
Do you guys know if that mozo for can be serviced? It's pretty stiff.

Nice find! Honestly a fork upgrade would make this bike pretty serviceable for all around use. A read a fork review on a RST mozo once that said it took tremendous energy to get the fork to move from the large amount of stiction. Once it started moving it would compress and hit the front tire, causing an endo! the fork was attributed to enough bloodflow to warrant a new paint job on the bike!:D
Something still smells fishy about it. Have you taken it to your lbs for a complete check out?

No not yet. I checked it out pretty good I didn't see anything. I'm not real worried. Even if there is something wrong I can use all the parts on my single speed.
