i just want to know what you all recommend between the two... i can get the Fuji for $1,500 and the Trek for probably $150 more... which is a better frame... i'm kinda reluctant to get the Trek cause it seems like everybody has it... but if the Trek is a better frame, please reinforce my decision to go with Trek...

You can get a brand new 2002 Fuji Team for $1295.- shipping included, you probably pay no tax.

It's basically the same bike in different color, tires and a few things as 2003 Team.
The next year's model, 2004, has carbon fiber seat stays.

actually, i'd rather pay the $1,500 from the bike shop... and i'm also trying to stay away from the 2004 Team because of the carbon... i want all aluminum... that's why i can't decide on the Trek 2200 since it has a carbon seat stay... but i just need to know if these two frames are pretty much equal in quality...

I just test rode a 03 team today. I like the feel of the bike, but didn't the Campy that was on it. For the money i would go with the Fuji if it has Ultegra or better, I think the 2200 has 105.
Most of the new frames all have the carbon rears.

ok... i'm leaning more heavily in getting a 2003 Team... i had a Fuji Finest aluminum and i really liked how it ride and liked the geometry... but i wasn't planning on keeping it for too long... the Team is a notch above the Finest in aluminum quality, but i'm still wondering if the Team's frame is a frame worth keeping "forever"...? i usually have that attitude of keeping an item for as long as i can when buying stuff, especially when it's more than $1,000 (even though i usually upgrade in a year or two... but the point is i don't want to think about upgrades)...

.If you are going to get and 03 the Pro and the Team are the same frame. It just gets a different paint job and adds $700 for the Team stickers. As far as is it the frame forever, that will have to be your call. I have an 86 Fuji club the I take out once in a while
