Anyone else follow this auction for a Heron touring frame on eBay? I had it on my watchlist as the frame was my size, but the price quickly got bid out of my range. I can't believe how much it finally sold for -- $975, which is not much less than the retail price for this frame, when they were still making them. I guess it's a reflection of the fact that Heron has quit production, which is a real shame.

I was looking at a fully built up heron (same size and color of the frame you mentioned) the local shop has sitting in the racks. It really is a pretty bike. $2000 is just a tad out of my price range for me.
