This R20 just sold on eBay for $380. Yikes! Admittedly it is in very good condition. But, still...

Yeah.. That's the sort that sits in a display case and you use white gloves to move it around. Premo condition. I rather find one that is in good rather than great condition for hopping up..

You know, it all depends how important it is to the person wanting the item for sale.
Just so happens that I am looking for an R20 that is in mint condition to keep as an absolute prestine example of what an original looks and rides like in contrast to the one that I just rebuilt. If I had seen this one before it was sold, I'd be hard pressed to not buy it for myself. I mean, R20's are getting hard to find, and any that are in the same condition that this one appears to be are worth the cost. But, that's what it's worth to me. To others, probably not so much.

I don't think that price is out of line, considering the condition of the bike.
It's already been established that R20 lovers aren't big on fiscal restraint when it comes to their bikes.
It would cost much more to take one in "Pretty good" condition up to that level.
I'd also like to have a cherry, OEM one to contrast with a much modified one. So if our Canuckistani friend and myself had both seen the auction, we might have bid it even higher.

Sounds like the one I picked up today for $20 was a good deal

I got a non-folding one for £4.99 GBP last summer for a FutureProject™. That's about $10 USD
Many parts were ruined but the frame and big bits were all straight. Do I win? :)

I got my BSA 20 from a man round the corner....maybe round the bend....
He gave me a RSW and a British Eagle shopper bike.
There all a bit rough though.
A couple of years ago a R 20 apeared in my back yard...as bikes do...
Was a fairly new bike....well in my terms...
Only think wrong with it...the rivet in the brake lever was broken.
Havent fixed it yet. been using it though
I found out 6 months later that it was my neighbour that left it.
