I'm going to be out in NJ the week of new year's. Anybody know where i might be able to procure a bike for a day rental? Preferably close to Paramus?

Also, I've been following the weather. No major snow so far, right? How are the road conditions?

No snow on the ground, but has been wetter than other years.

I would google LBS in the area you are looking for.
Most do not advertise, but if you ask you may find a few.
Try Westwood or Bicycle Workshop in Tenafly.
Don't expect any to be open on New Year day.

Up in Piermont you can try Piermont Bicycle and bicycle to Bear Mt.
or Toga in Nyack, both are a 20-30 minute car drive from Paramus.

Toga in NYC rents so their shop in Valley Cottage, NY might do the same.

CycleCraft in Parsippany rents bikes but that is a bit south of Paramus.

Campmor is in Paramus on Rt 17 but don't think they rent bikes....
