For christmas i planned on building a rear wheel for a friend (his factory wheel would keep going out of true or breaking spokes). However only the hub arrived before christmas and the rim showed up yesterday but both are still at my place under the tree.
I'm thinking of dropping by the LBS on the way home from work to pick up spokes and nipples but since i don't have the hub and some measuring calipers in front of me i can't quite confirm the dimensions needed for the online spoke calculators (or in some cases, i can't even access the calculators since the computers here at work don't have Java installed).
I was able to run the DT Swiss spoke length calculator but also want to run as many others as possible to see how they match up (i did this for a previous wheel build).
Details...
Rim: Velocity Deep V 32 hole (ERD appears to be 582)
Rear Hub: Shimano 105 32 hole (i'd personally take measurements but i'm at work right now)
Lacing: 3x both sides
DT Swiss gave me:
284 mm for the left (non-drive side)
282 mm for the right (drive side)
Any help would be appreciated. :D
