March 22nd - Poker Race in Philadelphia

Hey all. I haven't done a race since my last Rocky race (rocky V). I am still in philly a bit more. I am planning on throwing a few more races. This one is similar to the race that me and stewy did when we started back up the PBMA (Philadelphia Bicycle Messenger Association).

So, get ready to get the best hand you can and to drink alot of beer. All the stops will be at Bars around the Center City, South Philly, Northern Liberties, and Art Museum area. Sponsors to be announced as soon as I get them..

This was a great race a few years ago. Lots of fun! I had a really bad hand, but got nice and drunk, so it all evens out!

I hope I can ride again this year.

yeah definitely come up from atlanta for this jes. I got lots of plans. Registration will be at Skinners (226 Market St.) at 4pm.

I had a blast doing that race that was my first really messenger race that I put on. I did others and helped out with. That race made me do alot more aka rocky and naccc in philly..

also don't think this race is like rocky. It's more of a get together of folks to drink in bars when it's really cold out..

Confirmed sponsors so far. R.E. LOAD BAGGAGE (not giving a bag but a few accessories and stuff) and Freight Baggage. (not sure what travis will come up with but if it was like rocky v stuff should be amazing.)

Also there is talk over raising the entry fee to 7 bucks. The extra two bucks will go towards a beer kooze that you can have to drink all your beers in!!!
