OK, it's time for closeout deals on winter cycling gear. Xmas is over, I thought maybe as you visit your LBS in the Seattle area you could let the rest of us know if you see any hot deals on cold-weather cycling gear.
Me, I got nothing to share. I got the Performance winter closeout catalog in the mail yesterday, and REI has some good (but not yet screaming) deals on winter gear at REI.com. But I haven't been to a bike shop since Xmas so I haven't seen anything myself.
I know these will likely run all the way to March, but it's time to start looking for deals.
Anyone?

Due to the overwhelming response to this thread, I guess I need to go first (aren't you people out shopping)?
I had to go to REI Redmond yesterday to return some stuff and spotted the following clearance items:
- Several racks of Pearl Izumi, Cannondale and Novara long-sleeve jerseys at about 30% off...about the same stuff that they have on their online sale right now.
- A huge dump bin of SmartWool wool cycling socks and a huge bin of gloves, mixed brands. All about 33% off.
- A very nice Cannondale touring bike, size large, (I think the T800 ?) marked down $300 to $900 from $1200 regular retail.
In general it didn't appear to me that they had a lot more on their closeout sale than they normally have...seems like every time I am there they have several racks of clearance stuff, so it was about what I normally see at this particular store. The bike's a good deal if you're in the market for a Cannondale tourer...

I'm going to be down at Southcenter tomorrow, I'll have to stop and take a look to see if there's any potential loot there.

Colorado cyclist has marked down their high-end winter cycling gear.
Example: Wool Campagnolo long-sleeve jersey - reg. $190, on sale $100. A number of long-sleeve jerseys, jackets, tights, gloves on sale. All pricey, but a lot at good savings.

I didn't see anything at Southcenter REI, by the way...I was bummed.
I think the Colorado Cyclist stuff is too pricey for me, even on sale :( .

I had to return *another* thing to REI tonite so I went to the flagship store in downtown Seattle. More of the same that they have on their website and what I saw in Redmond -- a couple of clearance racks of long-sleeve Pearl Izumi, Cannondale, etc. A couple of nice racks of rain shells; I didn't look at the brand.

I was going to the downtown store tonight, but ended up getting sidetracked with a cheeseburger and got there as it was closing. Were the shells on sale?

The Portland REI has some basic but decent looking shells on sale for about 40 dollars. You can order them online too, so there's a chance they are up near you guys as well. The clearance rack also had an assortment of shorts and jerseys. I'm tempted, but am holding out for a good deal on a wheelset since REI stocks Mavic stuff.

Yes, sorry I wasn't clearer. It looked to me like there were two racks of lightweight rain/weather shells on sale.
Maybe they were these, from their website ? $30, marked down from $45.

Do you remember what sizes? Can't beat that price, that's for certain.
