I've been planning to build up a TT bike for quite a while. I have a few components laying around; aero bars, brake levers, seat post and some Dura Ace bar end shifters.

Here's the question: I was planning on making it a 105/ Ultegra build until an unbeatable deal for a SRAM Rival group fell into my lap. Does anybody know if Shimano TT shifters will work with Rival, or am I going to need to buy SRAM TT shifters? I know that Shimano STI levers won't work with SRAM rear derailleurs, but is the same true in this case?

My shimano levers in friction mode work with anything. In index mode I'd bet your SOL because the pull ratio is slightly different... but I've never tried it.

Doesn't work well with SRAM stuff.

I have a full Shimano setup, and prefer using friction shifting, I like the micro adjustment. Don't buy new shifters unless you don't like friction.

yeah, just go friction, and you shouldn't have any problem. (i would go with the ultegra crank and d/a fd over the rival crank and fd if possible) SRAmano-4-life
