I think that's about what the pro riders do. My friend Mike used to do 20-25,000 every year, but he didn't have a job. How do you avoid burn-out? Is it still fun most of the time?

That's more than alot of the pros I know ride. Someone did the math and figured out 380 miles a week average. That's about 20 hours a week average. As a working stiff who also rides alot(though not as much as Steve), I know how hard 20+hour weeks are while working. Pros have the advantage of recovering when they are not riding, not having to go to work. Good job, Steve. It would be nice to get paid but remember that if you have a decent job with benefits and make over 40k a year no US team will match your salary until you win some really big races and have been pro for a couple of years.
