Hey All,
I will try and keep this short. Getting back into sport after many years away. I have been DH MTB for the past 5 years, and have been park riding on an Eastern Jane (so I know I can fit on a 20").
I want to start racing again next year but have totally lost touch with the trends and brands.
I am 6'2" and 200 lbs so I am looking for a large frame and keep in mind that the lightest stuff may fold under a 200 lb rider. What weight should I expect the bike to be?
What should I be looking for if my budget is around $600 for a complete bike?
Thanks much,
Heath

Around 25 pounds would be a good a weight for someone your size. If I were you I would get a cruiser. Redline's, GT's, DK's, Crupi's, and Staats are all really good bikes. And I forgot Felt.
Without looking too far I found the GT Powerseries XL. Is there any need to look much further?
haha the bigger version of mini's bike! I'd guess its good then.
Ah, somewhat. Don't get me wrong GT's are great, but I was thinking a cruiser for someone your size. It's up to you, but just my suggestion.
I got a great deal on a left over '07. Any opinins? I guess it's too late now, but on paper it looked as good as the GT, except it has a steel fork over aluminum, but other than that for $150 cheaper, and a shop to assemble if for me and take care of any warranty issues seemed like a no brainer.
GT Powerseries Pro XL? Great bike. And if they're chromoly they're okay.
I just realized that I didn't put the name of the bike I got. it's the Redline Flight Pro XXL.
Not a complete, but the new standard 250s look really nice.

Great bike. It should fit you pretty good too.
