What kind of geometry is this?

I found this Olmo bike with geometry that i have never seen before and i thought you guys would be best to answer. Why is the seat and top tube curved and the seat stays attaching to the top tube and not at the intersection of the seat tube and top tube like most bikes?

sometimes it's called a funny bike. it's usually used for short TT's. the idea behind the geometry is to shorten the wheel-base and put the rider in an agressive position, (leaning down/forward).

The seat tube is curved to get the rear wheel in tighter, shortening the chainstays and suppusedly improving power transmission. The top tube is sloped to get the rider into a deeper position, as potus wrote. It's curved as a marketing hook. The seatstay arrangement is to increase stiffness by decreasing the effective lengths of the stays and top tube.

It also uses a 650c front wheel, to allow a lower handlebar height for better aerodynamics.

I think they were popular in the late 80's/early 90's for time trials.

They are illegal now, but I see a few here and there racing at TT's (since most people don't care and its not a UCI event)
