I just setup a Kurt Kinetic RoadnTrainer and whenever I accelerate, it seems like my rear wheel skips a little...the resistance is easy for just a stroke or two, and if I back off the poer, if ill then feel normal...but whenever I speed up, just for a second, the wheel feels likes its slipping. Should I move the resistance wheel so that it is applying more pressue to my rear wheel?
You either need more pressure or a different tire. Some tires seem to work better than others. Best thing to do is get a cheap tire, crank it up til it works, and chuck it when the threads show.

Can anyone attach a link to a tire that would be good for use on an indoor trainer from Nashbar or anywhere else?? I just want to make sure I get the right one...thanks!
Continental Ultra Sport Hometrainer tire (700c and 26" sizes) is the only one I am aware of. Advantages are it is quiet (was important to one of my adult children for use in an apartment), durable, and is reported to have good traction on the trainer. Disadvantage is it can be quite difficult to mount/remove to the point you may want to consider a dedicated rear wheel for it (a low cost heavy rim would be fine, just gives you more flywheel on the trainer). Continental states it is NOT suitable for riding on the road (I think this may be because it is a very hard rubber and could slide out on turns, etc.)
Continental's site LINK. (http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/de/en/continental/bicycle/themes/tires/race/hometrainer/hometrainer_en.html) I got mine from my local bike store for about $30. Available at Bike Tires Direct LINK (http://www.biketiresdirect.com/productdetail.asp?p=COUHT) for $40 which seems high, $32.90 at Glory Cycles LINK (http://www.glorycycles.com/coulsphotrti.html). Google "continental hometrainer" and find a better shipped price if your LBS does not stock or can not order it.

I have the Continental and really like it for a couple of reasons - 1) it's quite because it has virtually no tread and 2) I'm not wearing out a good road tire. I had a problem with slipping at first but increased the pressure in the tire and it has gone away. If you Google Continental+Hometrainer you'll find a plethora of results. I paid about $34 plus free shipping at http://www.aspirevelotech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=CONTIHOMETRAIN (currently out of stock). I'm new to biking so it kind of freaked me out when it arrived flat, and folded up, looking more like a section of Hot Wheels track than a tire, but my local Performance Bike store was wonderful enough to teach me how to install it at no charge.
