Is the tommaso augusta track bike any good? i found a 2008 tommaso augusto on a website for only $400 bucks and it retails for $1000.

are the components bad?

is it a badly built frame?

how would it compare to a pista??

for 400 all this doesn't sound too bad IMHO, nothing
special but not bad for the price

geometry is fairly close to a Bianchi Pista, which is intriguing. I'm close to pulling the trigger, just so I can check it out. and one more bike never hurts anything. a few things in the specs on the site seem a bit iffy and don't jive with what's pictured...

MSRP always lies, just look at nashbar, but regardless 400 isnt a bad deal.

the TT is insanely short on that bike
