November done at the last moment. Left it for "later" on several weekends and had to do it today, in spite of announced rain. But this had a positive side: I took my rain bicycle, a '90s Privitera frame (Pinarello clone made in Argentina w/Columbus tubing) with 7sp 105 and downtube shifters. I hadn't ridden this bicycle for over a year, and was amazed at its ride quality, better than my steel Pinarello. It'll be my long distance bicycle from now on.
176 km in 7:44 total time, 7:25 ride time, 23.7 kmh average. Temp about 22 C, strong winds and some rain.
December century done today 12-4-08 Beautiful day in Western Oregon today, sunny most of the way, temps hit a high of 52, perfect. The days are getting shorter, I finished the 101.7 miles as the sun was setting behind the hills of South Eugene. Here's the map. I added 6 miles at the midway point.

December century DONE (Yeah!) :) :) :)
Hard, in this miserable season in Northern France. After getting to bed late (2am) that morning (was the 40th anniversary celebration of my club), left home at 9:00 sharp, only to return by nighttime at about 6:15pm. 11°C, cold, foggy and muggy but no wind: a real english weather, perfect for using the Foska training jacket with bones on it, Had the rear light on all the time. The road was through Vexin, a quite hilly part of the North-West side of the Paris countryside. Lunch, inside a crèperie, was a non-event (but lasted 70 minutes). Overall 162 km @ 21.8 km/h. I came back exhausted with the cold and muggy air ripping through my bones and quite happy this was over.
Overall, I missed one century this year, in April, the month after I broke a collarbone at the finish of a Flèche Velocio (which qualified for March century), and resumed in May
Next year is a London_Edimburgh-London year. Will start again these centuries if Supcom or Machka will start the thread
Again, January 2009 may be tough
December done, and just in time - snowstorm tomorrow!
The first 30 miles in the morning were into a strong north wind. Temp ranging from 22 up to 30, most of the day between 24 and 27, I kept pretty warm, but by mile 80 my water bottles were frozen up. Roads were dry which is important. Got home 15 minutes before sunset.
101.8 miles, avg speed 14.04mph, 4340 ft of climbing.
That makes 17 centuries this year!

December done today. Not an orthodox century - first 50 km on my beater MTB, then 124 km on my road bicycle. But I rode 174 km within 12 hrs, I think that qualifies as a century, right?

I believe it does qualify.
Done. Fixed.
For year:
10 x fixed gear
1 x single-speed (August)
1 x geared (February)
December done.
Quite hard work out there in the heat(sorry northerners :p) and post christmas laziness. The road was melting and stones sticking to my tires. Stupidly I started with 75km on the flats before hitting the hills. Just under 7 hrs for the 160.
The year in review:
5300km
14 centuries
2 200s
1 400 (dnf a 640)
Next year, more shorter faster rides.
