Fifty Plus (50+) - What's your philosophy of life (in one sentence)?

I love the diversity on this forum, and I love the common bond we have with cycling. Thought it might be interesting to hear what 50+ers "philosophy of life" is, expressed in a single sentence. Might provide some interesting food for thought on this New Year's Eve.

Mine is, "Here is a test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't." It's a quote from Richard Bach.

I always told my girls...
"You can do anything and make sure it's fun as well"

Dream as though you will live forever, live as though you only have today.

Great idea, DG. One of my favorites is Bertrand Russell: "We want to stand upon our own two feet and look fair and square at the world - its good facts, its bad facts, its beauties, and its ugliness; see the world as it is and be not afraid of it."

What others do should not trouble you, but what they need should.

Don't really have a concise philosophy that drives me. One that comes to mind now & then is "Play with the hand you're dealt." Which is to say, make the best out of what you have.

But this quote from Bertrand Russell comes closer to my perspective on things

"The essence of the liberal outlook lies not in what opinions are held, but in how they are held: instead of being held dogmatically, they are held tentatively, and with a consciousness that new evidence may at any moment lead to their abandonment."

If it isn't fun, it won't be done.

Live fearlessly.

I think the universal moral law is "Recognize and fulfill your obligations."

Live and let live. I have no desire to bend other people to do my will and I hate having other people tell me what to do.

I'm sure if I believe in God but I try to live so that God believes in me.

With apologies to Paul McCartney for the blatant theft, Live and Let Die works for me. It reduces to the minimum number of words my belief that I am responsible for what I do, and not responsible for what anyone else does.

Pretty easy bunch of people on here, lots of good words to live by!
