Man it is beautiful out there today.
Get out if you can. In Austin it was a bit windy but 70 degrees and blue skies. Beats Sat ride of 35 degrees.
All the best in the New Year, and glad I am in TX and can ride all year.

Oh man I can't wait until I get there. I fly out to live in Austin on the 17th!! I'm moving from the Seattle area where is rainy and cold most of the time. Tomorow is supposed to be a nice dry day in the 30's.

You should like Austin a lot as it is pretty diverse for TX and good riding with way more hills than Dallas or Houston.
Summer his hot, but I love the heat and take 100 degree ride over 30 Degree ride any day.
38 here in Odessa...but I did just get 4 Spinerval dvds...so it's to the garage for me!

Some of us are gravitationally challenged and don't especially like hills, so that's not always a good thing. (If you like hills, be sure and visit Eureka Springs sometime).
But, New Years Day was a glorious sunny day, chilly but not too bad. I did make it out to the Happy New Rear ride, did the 28 mile route due to wind and hills (and the failure of the wind to blow me up the hills), ate my blackeyed peas and cornbread. Life is good. :)

Woke up at 730 and rode my first 30 miles of the year. I was out by myself, had ducks and egrets flying along next to me as I rode along some farm fields.

I actually like hills, I'm slow at them but I like them. Nothing like conquering a 20% or better grade.
