Northern California - Wxguesser, what happened with the assault?

Wxguesser, I was talking with Red Rider the other day and we were talking about having read the thread about your being hit with a stick and run off Pleasants Valley Road a while back. Any updates? It would be nice to know if anyone has been caught yet.

i think the sheriff must have had better things to do. i pretty much know where those kids go to school.. and i could hunt them down myself.. but then the cops have all my info and would know where to look...

so i guess the short answer to your question is... no update... or at least none that i know of... oh my back feels fine and there's no scar... i guess that's good news..

Tell us who, what when where how why and we can form our own little NorCal posse. While you go do something "out of town". Because that way you will have nuttin' to do with it......;):p

I would be all over the Sherriff like white on rice. Especially if you know where these guy's go to school etc.

I'm saddlin' up mah horse 'n' fetchin' mah rope . . . . we need to larn them varmints not to mess one a' our'n.

Glad you're recovered and feeling okay.

It's deplorable that the sheriff hasn't pursued this. Would a phone call from folks who ride that road and pay taxes make a difference? 'Cause like Ben Ridin' said, I'd be all over it -- you were harmed and those punk b*st*rds are allowed to get away with their jackassery...grrr.:mad::mad:

Sorry to read about your encounter.

I don't ride Pleasants valley much any more, mostly Suisun and Gordon valleys. In 44 years of riding around here, all I have endured was a cupcake that hit me from behind, thrown at night by a bunch of kids in a top-off Bronco. It was chocolate with thick chocolate icing, so I figured they really hated cyclists to surrender that prize.

I've had a magazine thrown at me on Gordon Valley Road. It missed thankfully. Of course, it was from a white Bronco or some sort of American SUV filled with teenagers.

Thanks for the link. Glad to hear you're ok, I'll definitely keep my eyes open next time I ride Pleasants Valley Road. I've had a penny hit me riding near Woodland, and some idiots try to run me off the road, so I can sympathize.
