Mountain Biking - Post a Picture of Your Biking Crap!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just took a look at the shelf where I keep my biking related stuff: Lycra, Extra Saddles, Tires, Tubes, Tools, Boxes, Etc.

It's not very organized, and my Camelback, Helmet, a set of hardcase slicks and some other stuff are out of the picture/in boxes.
Let's see what your biking conglomeration looks like!

I would, except I'd have to go to multiple locations in the house, the car, the van, bunch of places in the basement, and at my shop space downtown. Crap is spread all over the place!

The saddle doesn't look as lovely IRL as in the picture, but I like compliments anyway. :)
And it was the most painful thing ever go clean off the fork.

The '08 Trek Lineup looks good, no? Also, I'm waiting for my Speedball to come in; I ordered it Friday on overnight air....
And Cypress, I thought you were a road commie. Explain yourself.

I grew up MTB'ing! Switched to road because my MTB was stolen, and was at a point in my life that didn't afford me a new one.
I've got a Cannondale Taurine Team on the way now...

I think it's a good idea. I've forgotten too many things at home, only to realize it at the race course.

Wut.
In any case, I don't see why people don't just organize their stuff. It took me 10 minutes, and you feel really good afterwards.
Also, I keep my gear in my Camelback sometimes, that way it doesn't clutter my shelf and I don't have to worry if I got everything. =/

I carry tire levers, two tubes, a shock pump, C02, a C02 pump, lights, and sometimes food.
What are you carrying with you?
EDIT: Oh, I see what you mean. I keep what I ride with in my Camelback. Not the whole shelf. :D

It depends on how much stuff you have...it'll be harder for some people who have more than your little shelf of stuff.

I usually carry 2 park tools (allen) 2 tire levers and a tube. Someone else usually has a pump. Snacks too.

I still think it's a good investment if time regardless of how much stuff you have. In the end it'll probably return all of the time you spent organizing it.

For sure being organized is good but I can never get ahead because I have too much stuff and a lack of storage space. I get organized but never get ahead..and it's harder to store stuff like tires, wheels, forks, and frames. The next step is a bunch of new cabinets for the garage.

I keep my hardcase tires on pegs above the shelf and my foldable tires in the boxes on the bottom. COuldn't the same be done to wheels and frames?
Yeah but how neat you can keep it depends on how much stuff you have and how much space is available.

Damn! All y'all are so frickin' tidy! My bike stuff is strewn [literally] over the entire basement. There's a room down there where I have to jump from the door over the pile of tires and old wheels to the "clean spot" where I inevitably jab myself in the foot with an old BB or chunk of steerer tube. I'd clean it, buut I don't know where I'd put everything. :(
