Do you have one of these 20" wheelers?
If so, post your ride.

What components did you use?
How much did you spend?

Thanks

haha, sweet. I have an old BMX frame lying around, maybe I'll look into converting it. Cant you buy a thing to convert a shimano freewheel to a fixed gear so you wouldnt need to buy a new hub and build a wheel around it?

Just rotafix on a track cog, put a BB lockring over that, and try not to skid. It shouldn't come loose if you're not putting a lot of backpedal force on it.

I made a fixed wheel (just used a wire-feed and welded up the freewheel) for a junky old bmx that was left at my place of work in Alaska, just used it to putz around and play on when there were no customers.

It was a fun little toy.

I believe freestyle BMXers use fixed gear so they can unicycle style trick everything.

Haha, scratch the conversion, it looks far too silly for my taste. I'll stick to old road frames.

Brothers, do we not all see those horizontal rear drops begging to have a fixed hub?

They are usually begging me to have a singlespeed conversion. In case of BMX, that conversion is already done, huh...

What do you think look best on these bikes?
Drops?
Risers?
or Bullhorns?

no.

some flatland bmx folks use fixed gear, but it's seems to be mostly preference. see the video above. otherwise there is no point to have a fixed gear bmx bike unless you are just ****ing around or really small.

i dont think mods, as a representative to bikeforums.net should ever endorse anything as stupid as a suicide hub to a member. sorry, this is just weak.

That first bike looks seriously badass! I am thinking of doing this, there are so many potential frames to use, from kids bikes to discarded bmx's!
This is the new mini velo!
only problem i see is sourcing the xtra long seat posts...

not a problem with mine. i'm currently running 170's. it's all about b/b height (28.5cm from axle center to the ground).

Not necessarily if the bottom bracket is about the same height as any other bike. See how the chain stays actually angle up from the hub to the BB? Looks similar to a 20" folding bike.

Wow, a little bit more raise on the stem and you have the world's first barspinnable bike with track drops!

So I guess it's ok to do tricks on these bikes because they are BMX frames.

It would just probably suck.

Now I know not all people in the netherlands smoke copious amounts of weed or drop loads of pills and 'shrooms.

But the guy who put that combination together must have been high.

But that sometimes can lead to awesome things. This is one of those cases.

Edit: Jim-Bob, I'd love to ride your bike.
