I wouldn't call myself a marathon racer, but I have raced a few marathons. Here's my Anthem, 22.3 lbs as in the first picture.

This one was after a marathon race. Not really a great way to finish

Erhan, Did you keep any of those parts from your XTC?

(Ridiculous price/specs).

Nice build, although the price is....

Also, I like your pedals. ;) Ignore the missing end cap and dirty bike that's attached to it.

There isn't too much left from that build. The cranks, the saddle, and may be a few more small parts. Last summer as I bought new parts, I transferred the old ones back to the XTC. Then I compared both bikes, timed my favorite sections... Long story, but in the end I parted out the XTC and sadly sold the frame.

I had a Mountain Cycle - "Zen" marathon bike,
I'm not competing person, but riding from time to time long day desert trails, the bike stands aggressive time.
It's a boutique frame and I assemble the bike for XC and light AM single tracks, since I wonted stiffness and reliability, to know that the wheels and more will not fail in the desert ride or AM single trails
The weight of the frame with 5th element is less than 3Kg
Rock Shox Recon 130mm in front
Fox Float RL 5" in the rear
Sram 7
hayes 9
Shimano LX hollow crank
Alexrims.

The bike appx 13Kg

But you can reach lower weight, by choosing lighter wheels and lighter front fork of 100-120mm Air/Oil (not spring/oil as I did)
