Here we go! The 2008 Spinner mileage thread. I will have the invitations out sometime today for the 2008 version of the sheet. We didn't quite make the 100,000 mile adjusted goal, but we were less that 3000 miles away at 97,006. I propose that we go with the same goal of 100,000 miles this year and can adjust it upwards if we are going to exceed it :D
Miles to be counted:
Riding outdoors on your bikes
Miles on the Trainer
Miles on a Spinner Bike
They are all miles!

I will be adding miles to this for 2008, that I did not add in 2007. Please shoot me a pm or an email with the proper way to make it happen for your tracking.
Thanks for everything you do. I also plan on getting out of the clydsedale weight in 2008. But I will keep giving you miles until I get under the 200 pound limit.

You can keep on contributing after you hit "Emeritus Status". We like to keep successes around, ya know! :D
PM me an email address to send the invite to, and make it one you don't mind the other Spinner Members seeing. I'll add you in happily :D

Well, its a bit early, but squeezed out 12 moderately hilly miles already, only 99,988 to go! ;)
I don't use the trainer much, and I don't have a way to keep track of miles on it, so I can't give you those. I did however zero out all the bike computers so I can keep track of all the miles this year. :D
We can do it gang! One pedal revolution at a time!
Go forth, ride, and be happy! Celebrate your inner clyde! ;)

OK, to all members........
You will need a Google account. Easy enough to get though. The database is self entry. Let's turn 100K plus this year......we almost made it in 2007!

Posted my miles. This year I want to ride at least 4000 miles. Already ahead of pace. It wasn't a great ride today, riding in driving rain, 39F, high winds, but riding my bike is always better than a missed opportunity to ride. I will leave the clydesdale category this year, but I will still post my Saturday Spinner miles.

Scott, let me know when you are elegible for the Emeritus Certificate. I'll be proud as all git out to give it to you ;) By the way, just because you go emeritus doesn't mean you can't hang in here ;)

I thought I was doing pretty good at 50, and was planning on being at 75 or higher, but some of the miles were impressive. But, it was a short week, so we will see what next week brings.

Let's get those miles posted into the database, see if we can break 1000 in the first week of January........
A whopping 12.9 miles this week, was only able to get one short ride in before the storms hit CA. :( Sorry I don't have more miles to give to the group this week!
(spreadsheet updated)
Week ended yesterday. Only 195 miles this week and an hour and a half on my godforsaken trainer. But I ended up running 35 miles this week as well.

Hi:
I would like to join your data logging ... just did my first ride of the year today in NJ - temp was up to 69 degrees ... did 18.33 miles. On Thursdays and also on Tuesdays I will be doing spin classes for 90 minutes and will keep you updated on the mileages. I try to get out whenever I can and the weather cooperates. This last year (2007) I did over 3000 miles total. Please add me to your list. Thanks.

In-laws were in town last week, so no riding for me. But this week I started going back to campus, yeah!

Should be picking up a bunch since school starts back next week, yay!

Good to hear. I am averaging around that since I found a safer route with lower speed limits and no cage drivers know about it. Brings me right over to a shopping center while avoiding the hwy. I'll have a guaranteed 24 miles a week once college starts back next week. And thats riding Mon-Thursday. Looks like I can get a weekend job to ride to also. I'm back up to 236lbs after the holidays hit and I've been riding the moped more than cycling. :D
Edit: I just read the OP's post. And yeah, I want in on it. My email is josephwagnon@gmail.com. I don't use a trainer, only commutes and weekend pleasure rides.

0 miles this week. I broke the bottom bracket on my bike and had to wait to get it to the LBS (an hour away). They ordered a new frame and I should be back to riding on Monday.

Put in my miles for the second week. Is that chart doing what you want it to? Makes it appear I have twice as many miles as I do. Would be nice but alas...

It's color coded, weekly colors and the last bar is a total for the month, so yeah....
Click on the totals and you'll get your monthly total displayed, or any of the colored wee bars for the week, ;)

But, the LBS is making it right and upgrading my frame. I really like my LBS, or at least the owner. I will probably buy them some more beer for the free upgrade.

Kind of ironic, but I only put about 25 miles this week on my bike due to a stressful week at work. And that was one of the reasons I started riding in the first place, a stress relief. I did 20 today, 10 in the rain. I hope I can get back on track pretty soon. It has been a warmer than usual month, I hope I didn't miss all the nice riding days.

5.1 miles for week ending today. (Had a seizure while riding my bike to the carpool on Tuesday morning, it put a crimp in things.)
58 miles this week. I had a head and chest cold since Tuesday evening, and that kept me off the bike during the good weather on Wednesday and Thursday. Today's ride destroyed me - look at the climb into Paoli from Valley Forge:

Nasty stiff winds and a cold kept me off the bike most of the week. This week will be better.

Not sure an exact distance as there is no mileage pickup on my trainer but we'll round down and call it 64mi for the week. Throw me a PM when You get a chance tom and I'll plug into the spreadsheet myself.
