The official Elvis Birthday ride is on! Sunday, January 6th, 2 PM ET, at the Greenville, GA courthouse square. 15 and 50 mile routes. The King himself may even put in an appearance! Celebrating Elvis's Birthday on January the 8th. Entry fee = $0.00, no T-Shirt, no sag, no portapotties, no snack stations, no support except what you can pick up from fellow riders...maybe some jelly donuts or fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches? This is the 20th anniversary of this ride...Typically draws 100 to 150 riders of all skill levels. See www.columbuscyclingclub.org for more info if they post any. Usually the Auburn University Cycling Team is there, so it's pretty neat to get to ride with them, even if, like me, it's only across the square before they leave me in the dust.
