Recumbent - Campy-ified 'Bent, 700c question

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I am thinking of converting my 20/26 SWB to Campy, so I can swap parts with my DF. Is this a crazy thing to do? I can, with minor retrofit, run a 700c on the back.
2nd question... I have looked at swapping my front end over to a 700c, but this puts the chain on the front wheel during some corners. Is this a problem, and if so, is there a reasonable solution, or should I just leave it as 20"?
Thanks, and Happy New Year.

Bikelounger on bentrideronline has a Bacchetta Strada that is all Campy. The bike also has a custom paint job and is gorgeous.
As for the 700C wheels, I'll let others comment. But as to the Campy, I'd go for it! Here's a pic of Bikelounger's Strada. Note that he's even using road brake levers.

As long as you could find a decent routing for the shifter/brake carbles to the Campy Ergo shifters, I don't see why you can't have Campy componentry on a recumbent.
As to using a 700c front wheel, as long as you pay attention when turning, that shouldn't present much trouble.

It's not crazy. I done the conversion to my Strada. What type bent are you wanting to do the conversion on if I can ask.
2nd ?...I don't see a problem swapping the front, changing out the front fork to accommodate 700c doesn't change your distances, your distances shouldn't be any different than they are now. If you don't have a problem with the chain now you shouldn't with the 700. The other problem you may encounter is that you may have to replace the rear brakes if you have the V type brakes.
That Bikelounger looks... whoa... amazing.
I am working with an Optima Lynxx. There is a 26/26 version (under a different name), so I know theoretically it can be done... what I noticed is that I get quite a bit of chain hang under some circumstances, which is where I could see significant problems with a 700c front wheel... is it a mistake to add a second idler, for example? I know the rear spacing is a bit wide, but my LBS (with no 'bent experience) handed me a couple of small spacers to take care of any difficulties there...
As for the campy conversion, do I have to go to Ergo levers, or is there a trigger system (more like what I have with my XT components) I could use? Hmmm... guess I could also go to bar ends if I had to...
Thanks!
