I am looking for a good work stand for my bike and need your opinions or suggestions on what to buy. I have an aluminum bike and i want to buy a stand that's easy to keep or store, flexible in terms of usage and good value for the price.

I just bought this stand today at Performance Bicycles in Torrance CA.
http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.cfm?SKU=13160

They had it on special for $99 . Put my bike on it tonite and it seems very nice and it folds up and goes in the trunk of my car.

I have an Ultimate Pro workstand. It has nice long tripod legs that fold up for easy storage. The clamp has rubber jaws and is tightened by a knob which makes it pretty well impossible to deform a frame tube unless maybe you really want to do so.

I can easily rotate a bike 360 degrees with no worries about the stability of the stand.

I clamp both of my aluminum bikes in the stand without problem.

It's sold by REI and, I believe, Nashbar. Probably others as well.

Supcorn, they had those at Performance as well. Very nice looking piece, I believe they were 199.

I have the same stand, and I like it a bunch. It's very portable, and easy to store. You can put the bike in a variety of positions with ease. I give it two thumbs up!
